UPC Renewables is a leading renewable energy wind farm developer. UPC-formed companies have developed more than 5,000 MW of now-operating wind and solar projects globally. In the Asia Pacific region, UPC has a 593MW portfolio of jointly owned operating and construction assets in Indonesia, India, and Vietnam and a +10GW development portfolio in Indonesia, Vietnam, Mongolia, India, Taiwan, and Korea.
In Indonesia, UPC has been developing renewable projects since 2011, focusing on wind and solar projects. UPC has successfully built and is now operating the first utility-scale wind power project in Indonesia, i.e., the 75 MW Sidrap Wind Farm Project, in Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) Regency, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, which was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo in July 2018. Other than Sidrap, UPC has also been developing other projects (mostly wind and solar projects).
UPC Renewables is currently looking for 3 Positions candidate to join our Indonesia team, with the following descriptions:
Position: Technician WTG
Location: Based in Sidrap – South Sulawesi, local hire Requirements
- Able to inspect, diagnose, adjust, or repair and perform maintenance on turbine equipment (wind turbine will be a plus) including resolving electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic malfunctions. Installs, reviews, repairs, and maintains low voltage electrical systems, high voltage generators electrical systems and stationary machine electrical systems, construction and maintenance work activities to which he has been assigned according to the agreed plan while maintaining a healthy and safe working environment with the prime objective of optimizing performance and safety of all fixed plant assets and infrastructure.
- Technical, Operational, and Maintenance skills: Wind turbine generators, SCADA, process controllers, low voltage and medium voltage electrical systems and protective systems, field instrument devices and testing equipment, operations and maintenance procedures, environmental regulations, and plant safety procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and diagnostic skills
- Must be able to read blueprints and diagrams, attention to detail is a desirable characteristic.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently is also required.
- Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule
- Deep knowledge of the practical application of electrical, instrument and mechanical equipment and safety legal requirements.
- Having a minimum of K3-WAH, Rope Access IRATA L1 certification, and GWO – BST, manufacturer certification for wind turbines will be a plus.
- Minimum of Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) with wind/solar resources knowledge.
- Minimum Experience of 2 – 7 years in a power plant, and experience in renewable energy Windfarm will be a plus.
- Ability to lead the team and chair/driver of the weekly Team meetings – planning tasks, delivery, HSE checks, and general on-time / on-budget delivery including subcontractors.
- Ability to perform Quality Assurance and Quality checks on equipment and procedures.
Position: Supervisor – Warehouse and Logistics
Location: Based in Sidrap – South Sulawesi Requirement
- To coordinate the inventory management activities in a warehouse as per plan, with the prime objective of securing shortage, optimizing stock turnover, and minimizing dead stock to support best warehouse management performance also coordinate the transportation of assets, parts and materials to ensure that all material arrives at the specific location on time with no disruption to each project.
- Minimum of Diploma in any major.
- Have a minimum of 3 – 5 years experience as Supervisor, Warehouse and Logistics or similar roles.
- Experience working in a power plant and having exposure in the civil construction sector are preferred.
- Experience and have deep knowledge of warehouse operation, Inventory Management, Logistics and safety legal requirements with the capability to monitor direct staff or subcontractors
- Ability to communicate and write in English is mandatory.
- Experience in developing/setting warehouse SOP and implementation as well as improvement on the process.
- Having exposure and understanding of SAP, Maximo, and other similar systems for Warehouse management will be a plus.
- Having SIO for the forklift operator (minimum Class 2) will be a plus.
- Understand and have certification in chemical and or hazardous handling will be a plus.
- Advance in MS Office, especially in Excel, and Database will be a plus.
Position: Tax Specialist
Location: Based in Jakarta (Local Hire) Requirement:
- To review tax accounts, tax liability, and submission of tax returns according to the procedure and regulation to ensure compliance with tax requirement
- To prepare tax filings, including monthly and annual tax returns, especially those that are perpetual i.e. for articles 4, 22, 23, 25, 26 & 29 of the income tax and VAT
- To keep abreast with the latest change in tax legislative requirements and update the technical knowledge in order to advise efficient tax compliance and to understand the financial implication
- Liaise with Finance Manager and Accounting Manager for tax advisory matters
- Liaise with the overseas counterparty for any Certificate of Residence for tax filing
- Communicate well in taxation matters with peers to solve any tax issues
- Setup good relationships with tax officers to get hints or understanding on any updated tax rules
- Filing the tax documents both in softcopy and hardcopy to ensure proper documentation
- Liaise with tax auditors and tax consultants during the tax audit
- To advise on safe and environmentally friendly working procedures in order to ensure an excellent safety record and encourage employee participation in health and safety matters in order to comply with statutory requirements and HSE expectations
- Degree in accounting or relevant disciplines, with hands-on experience in taxation
- Having tax certification of A and B
- Motivated and self-starter
- Ability to write a report in tax standard memo as outlined by the tax authorities,
- At least 3 years experience in the tax accounting area and or as a tax consultant.
